Starship

A crystal hive is spreading from star to star, and one small ship stands in its way. Fly through twelve sectors of drones, darters, armored carapaces and bullet-spitting nests, catch weapon pods, and break the giant guardian waiting at the end of each sector. Between sorties, spend the shards you collect on upgrades in the hangar.

How to play

• Fly with the arrow keys or W A S D, a gamepad, or by moving the mouse over the play field. On a phone or tablet, drag anywhere: the ship moves with your finger.
• Fire is automatic. Hold Shift to fly slowly and precisely.
• Nova: Space or X (or the NOVA button on touch screens) clears every bullet on screen and damages everything in view.
• Only the glowing core in the middle of your ship can be hit. Fly close to bullets to graze them for points.
• Weapons: Pollen Carriers drop pods that cycle through Needle, Fan and Arc. Cores raise the weapon's power.
• Pause with Esc or P. M turns sound on or off.

Also try the Daily Sortie, a new challenge every day with its own twist, and Endless mode. Progress saves automatically, including shards picked up mid-flight.
