Scooter Boy
A ragdoll physics game about surviving the ride to the finish line. Injuries weaken your steering and balance, but you can keep riding. You are a man on an electric scooter, riding over hills, gaps, loops, spikes, saws, crushers, lava, mines, boulders and wrecking balls. Stars unlock four more scooters: the light Featherweight, the off-road Trail, the Long Range and the twin-motor Turbo. Land flips for points, pick up bolts, and spend them on new gear.
How to play
- Ride: ↑ or W for the throttle, ↓ or S to brake and reverse.
- Lean: ← → or A D. Lean in the air to flip and to land on both wheels.
- Action (Space): hop. On the Turbo, hold it with the gas for turbo until the motors get hot.
- Battery: the scooter is electric. Its battery runs down as you ride and the motor gets weaker when it is nearly flat. Braking puts a little charge back, and a charging post fills it up.
- Bail (Z) to jump off. C restarts from the last checkpoint, R restarts the level.
- Touch: gas and brake sit under your right thumb, lean under your left, with ★ for the action and Bail on its own. A thumb can slide from one button to the next, and a near miss still counts. Held upright on the page, the buttons sit below the view; in full screen they sit over the bottom of the scene. To move them, swap them for the left hand, or change their size or opacity, pause and choose Controls.
- Stars: finish, beat the par time, and collect every bolt. Each scooter has its own stars, and stars unlock new scooters.
- Recovery: after a living bail, he gets up and back on as his injuries allow, if the scooter still works. Only death ends a failed run.
- Endless goes on until you die. The Daily Run is a new course every day, the same for everyone.
Blood is on by default and can be switched off in the menu.
