Our Last Hoorah
A co-op survival shooter seen from above. Up to four soldiers hold an abandoned outpost, a suburban street or a missile silo against waves of the infected that smash through barricaded doors, windows and gaps. Every kill pays cash; between waves the shop opens, the barricades need mending, and the next wave is bigger, faster and stranger than the last. Play with strangers by quick match, with friends in a private room, or alone.
How to play
- Move with W A S D, aim with the mouse and click to fire. Shift sprints. On a touch screen, the left thumb moves and the right thumb aims; hold the right stick to fire.
- Reload with R, switch weapons with 1 to 4 or the wheel, throw a grenade with G or the right button, and swing your melee weapon with V.
- Hold E by a broken barricade to mend it a plank at a time, by a downed teammate to revive him, or at the supply crate to buy ammunition. You stand still while you do it, so get your team to cover you.
- Between waves the shop opens (B): 53 weapons from pistols to a rotary gun, grenades, armour and medkits. Your service rank unlocks more weapons with every run, and each run opens stronger ones every two waves.
- Talk without typing: T or the middle button pings a spot for the team, and C opens the callouts: Reloading, Need ammo, Barricade down, Help!, and more.
- The infected: slow shamblers, fast runners, crawlers that slip through half-broken barricades, riot police whose plates turn bullets from the front, bloaters that burst, spitters that lob acid, screamers that call a horde, brutes that charge, and every tenth wave a juggernaut.
- The boards: each map has a top 10 of teams, by the wave reached, then kills, then time. Every signed-in soldier who stays to the end of the run is named on it.
Keys: W A S D move, mouse aim, click fire, R reload, G throw, T ping, Q last weapon, E use, V melee, H medkit, C callouts, B shop, Enter ready, M sound, Esc menu. A gamepad works too.
