Latchword
Three locked words. One theme. Ten picks.
About Latchword
Latchword is a daily word game about cracking a vault. Every vault has three locks: a 4-letter, a 5-letter and a 6-letter word, all from one theme shown at the start. You have ten picks for the whole vault, and every word you try costs one.
How to play
- Type a word on the open lock and press Enter.
- Gold dial: right letter. It locks in place.
- Up arrow: the right letter is earlier in the alphabet, towards A.
- Down arrow: the right letter is later in the alphabet, towards Z.
- Each empty dial shows the letters it can still be, for example D–K.
- Tries that aren't in the word list, and repeats, cost nothing.
- Open all three locks before your picks run out.
A new vault opens every day at midnight, your time. Crack it on the day to grow your streak; every seventh day of a streak earns a spare key that covers a missed day, and you can hold two. Past vaults wait in the archive, and practice vaults are unlimited.
Keys: letters to type, Enter to try a word, Backspace to delete, and the Left and Right arrow keys to move between dials.
