Hairpin Hustle

A top-down racer about sliding through corners. Hold a drift to charge a boost, tuck in behind a rival to fill your slipstream, then pull out and slingshot past. Win six cups of races, duels, eliminations, time attacks and drift trials, upgrade and paint six cars, and chase your own ghost around every circuit. A new Daily Circuit appears every day, the same for every player.

How to play

• Accelerate with the Up arrow or W. Brake and reverse with the Down arrow or S.
• Steer with the Left and Right arrows, or A and D.
• Drift: hold Space while turning. The longer the slide, the bigger the boost when you let go: yellow, orange, then violet sparks.
• Slipstream: follow close behind a car until the meter fills, then pull out for a burst of speed.
• Start: press the throttle just before the lights go green for a perfect start. Too early and the wheels spin.
• R puts the car back on the track, Esc or P pauses, C switches camera, M turns the sound on or off.
• On a phone or tablet, use the on-screen buttons. Reset puts the car back on the track. The car accelerates by itself unless you turn that off in Settings.
• Gamepads work too: RT or the bottom button to accelerate, LT or the right button to brake, the left stick or the d-pad to steer, the left button, LB or RB to drift, the top button to get back on the track and Start to pause. In the menus, the d-pad or the stick moves, the bottom button chooses and the right button goes back.
